BERESFORD — Canton was able to sweep the boys’ and girls’ divisions of the 2014 Beresford Lions Invitational on Tuesday afternoon. The boys’ posted 205 points lef by Kyler Kniffen, who won the 100 and 400 meter runs. Canton also swept the relays, as well. Cody Majeres won the 200 meter run and the high jump, while Tyler Lens won the discus and the shot put.
For the girls’, Canton posted 209 points. Justine Zylstra won the 300 hurdles and triple jump. Canton also won the 400 and 1600 relays. Katie Glenn also won the high jump.
Brad Bouge won the 400 for Beresford, as Riley Schaap was able to claim the 1600 meter run for the Watchdogs. Keely Bertram won the 200 meter run and the 400 for Elk Point-Jefferson. Marisa Shulz took home the 800 meter run and 1600 for Dakota Valley.
