MileSplit S.D. Elite Series: Tamara Gorman, R.C. Stevens HS

State Cross Country Meet in Rapid City at the end of October.&nbsp;</p>

What kind of shape are you in heading into this cross country season?

I believe I am very well prepared mentally and physically for this coming cross country season.

 

How did your track season go last spring? What were your best times, places or races?

I finished out the season on high note finsihing first in the 3200m with a PR of 10:53.

 

What are your goals for this season on an individual level?

I want to finish out my last high school cross country season right! State, Nike, and Footlocker are in my sights!

 

Where do you see your team placing this season?

My team has lots of potential this year. We have many talented girls that have been working hard all summer long! We are definitely all very excited for the season!!

 

What did your summer training look like? Highlight

I have been training and racing triathlons since track got over last spring.

 

What are your favorite workouts?

HighlightI love all kind of workouts but one of my favorites is fartlek workout.

 

What is your favorite pre-race: Meal? Music? Routine?

I usually eat some sort of pasta dish before the race! I don't really listen to music to get me pumped up, I just visualize myself in the race meeting my goals!
