MINNEAPOLIS — Jeremiah Ary won the triple jump meet title and Joel Reichow cracked South Dakota State's top-10 list in the mile run as the men's track and field team competed at the Jack Johnson Classic Saturday at the University of Minnesota Fieldhouse.

With a mark of 47-0.25, Ary stretched his win streak in the triple jump to three-straight meets. He has won a meet title in all four of South Dakota State's meets this season with three triple jump titles and one long jump crown.

Reichow became the first Jackrabbit since 2012 to post a top-10 time in the mile run, claiming 10th all-time with a time of 4:10.47. Reichow, who placed fourth in the mile at the Jack Johnson Classic, also holds the sixth-fastest 3,000-meter time in school history at 8:23.39.

Brett Nichols placed fifth in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 45-5. Zach Koosman placed seventh in the high jump with a height of 6-6.25. Cal Lawton took seventh in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:56.53 while Marc Husman (50.24) and Sam Johnson (50.52) placed seventh and ninth respectively in the 400-meter run.

The 4x400 relay team of Johnson, Dru Kenny, Austin Johnsen and Husman placed eighth with a time of 3:22.65 while Cullen Mack claimed tenth in the seeded weight throw with a distance of 56-6.

Friday, in a field of 57 athletes, Zach Schroeder secured South Dakota State's lone top-10 finish in the 200-meter dash, placing ninth with a time of 22.69. Austin Benson placed third (47-04.25) and Kyle Anderson finished fifth (46-04.25) in the unseeded shot put.

The Jackrabbits return to action at the Frank Sevigne-Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. Feb. 6-7 and the USD Open Feb. 7 in Vermillion, S.D.
