CANTON – The Canton C-Hawks hosted an invitational meet on Tuesday evening in Canton. The C-Hawks dominated the girls- competition scoring 221 points to finish first place overall.
Beresford finished third place in the girl-s completion scoring 73 total points. Vermillion finished in fourth with 69 total points. The Tanagers were led by Maddie Lavin who took home gold medals in the 1600 and 3200 meter run. For Elk Point-Jefferson, Josie Hereen won both the 400 and 800 meter dash.
Sioux Falls Christian won the boys- title finishing with a total of 152 points, Beresford finished in fifth place with 87 points. Joseph Kirkebak led the Watchdogs with two individual titles in the high jump and triple jump. Oliver Doeden finished first in the shotput for Beresford, while Hunter Borah won the long jump.
Vermillion finished with 56 points as a team, and won the medly relay with a time of 3:53.30. Elk Point-Jefferson finished with 53 points overall. Hunter Paulson swept the distance races finishing first in the 1600 and 3200 meter run. Connor Henze won the 400 meter dash with a time of 54.73.
