Lyden's Life Lessons: Heart

Happy State Meet week! Originally, when I tried to write this article I struggled with finding inspiration -- to relate to you all through running. When it hit me -- you all are my inspiration. So, this week, I have one lesson, one thing, one way of life to talk about. Heart.

Run with it, speak from it -- do everything with all your heart. This week, if you are running in the state meet, run with your heart. This week, if you are not running in the state meet, train with your heart.

In December, train with your heart. In February, train with your heart. For the rest of your life, run -- and live -- with your heart.

Do everything you do for the love of doing it. I promise that if you do, you will experience a life changing "high" because you know that -- in that moment -- nothing else matters.

This week there may not be a struggle story to relate to or a triumph story to be proud of, but there is a heart.

My best advice to you, for the rest of your entire life, is to "run" with your heart. It will not be easy -- no one ever said it was -- but your heart will allow you to enjoy every second of it.

Have a heart of a champion.

As always, be brave (and ignore that little voice that tells you you can't), dream on, and run with all your heart.

Till track season, this is Adair Lyden signing off -- XC you have been awesome, thanks for the lessons.
