REGIONAL RANKINGS
NEW ORLEANS - The Augustana men's cross country team is ranked ninth nationally and fourth regionally, while the women's team is ranked 17th nationally and fifth regionally in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association polls.
The men made no movement from last week in the national or regional poll. The women dropped six spots in the national poll and one in the regional rankings.
The Vikings put together a strong showing at last weekend's Roy Griak Invite as the men took the title and the women finished fifth in the Division II races.
Augustana was originally scheduled to compete at the Tim Young Open in Vermillion, S.D., on Friday, but the recent heavy rains forced the cancelation of the event.
The Vikings return to action on Oct. 16 at the Chili Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Ark.
