YANKTON, S.D.
- The Augustana women's cross country team finished second and the men finished 11th at the Mount Marty Invitational Saturday in Yankton, S.D.  The Vikings' Runa Falch won the women's race by 20 seconds.

Falch covered the 5K course in 17:38 to capture the women's title.

Paul Yak was the top men's performer as he finished third by trekking the 8K in 25:24.

For the remaining women, Annie Pfeifle finished 15th with a time of 18:50, while Molly Kokesh was 17th with a time of 18:56.  Miriam Hovda finished 22nd (19:06), Kelly Kougl finished 28th (19:17), Leah Hansen was 45th (19:38), Kelsey Junget was 58th (20:04), Laura Johnson was 74th (20:22) and Alyssa Schmidt was 80th (20:26).

Tom Karbo was the next highest men's finisher with a time of 25:50.  Justin Grassmeyer was 38th (26:45), Aduo Omot finished 138th (29:04), Joe Murphy was 168th (29:44) and Clint Freiheit was 234th (35:52).

The Vikings are now done with regular season competition and will next run at the NSIC Championships on Nov. 6 in Wayne, Neb.
