Logan Burns, Senior, Custer High School

What kind of shape are you in heading into this cross country season?

Pretty good shape. I ran a lot of miles over the summer.

How did your track season go last spring? What were your best times, places or races?

My track season went well. I got 2nd at the state meet last year with a 10:05.

What are your goals for this season on an individual level?

I want to go sub 16:20 for sure and try to go under 16:00

What did your summer training look like?

I ran about 250 miles this summer, which is way more than double what I did last summer.

QWho do you see as the top individuals in the state (and class, AA, A or B)?

The top three in all classes are Addison Dehaven for sure at number 1 but the other two are up for grabs. In state A I think the top three are myself Eric Yager and Brennen Witt or Hunter Streff if he can heal up. In B Jase Kraft is definitely the best.

What are your favorite workouts?

I like the longer runs where we go 7+ miles.

What is your favorite pre-race: Meal? Music? Routine?

My favorite pre-race meal is a steak. It seems to work better for me than spaghetti. I just listen to music when I'm waiting around and the routine is usually making sure I stay cool and in the shade when it is hot.

Favorite music, bands?

I like all music.

Favorite subject in school?

Physics or Pre-Calculus I like science and math.

Hobbies?

I run and play basketball
