MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. - The Augustana College women's distance medley relay team traveled to Minneapolis, Minn. to compete in the Parents Day Open on Saturday hosted by the University of Minnesota.
The women's squad of
Emma Anderson,
Charissa Etrheim,
Kayla Mescher, and
Leah Seivert provisionally qualified with a time of 11:55.63 for a second-place finish. With this mark, the women's DMR team moved up two spots to currently sit 11th in the nation, previously beating their time at the MSU-Ted Nelson Invitational on Feb. 7 by two seconds.
"It was nice to improve our time and still stand on the Division II list," head coach
Tracy Hellman said. "For now, it appears we will make the national meet, but there is still one more week of qualifying competition."
The Vikings now turn their focus to the NSIC championships on Feb. 26-27 in Mankato, Minn.
