The Augustana women's indoor track & field team has been picked to finish No. 6 in the 2009-10 Preseason Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Coaches Poll. The Augie men were tabbed No. 9 in the men's poll.
The Augie women earned 56 points, just two points behind No. 5 Winona State, who had 58 points. Minnesota State tops the poll with 96 points and six first place votes, followed closely by Minnesota Duluth with 94 points and five first place votes. U-Mary was third with 77 points and St. Cloud State was fourth with 72 points.
On the men's side, Minnesota State also leads the poll with 81 points and nine first place votes. In second is Minnesota Duluth with 72 points and one first place vote. MSU Moorhead came in at No. 3 with 50 points. Augie earned 28 points to place them in the No. 9 spot.
