Augustana Women No. 9, Men at No. 17 in Cross Country National Poll

The Augustana women's cross country team dropped to No. 9 while the men improved to No. 17 in the final regular season USTFCCCA Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country National Rankings, the USTFCCCA announced today. 

The Augie women fell from No. 7 to No. 9 after finishing in third place at the Regional Championship in Wayne, Neb. Grand Valley State remained at No. 1 while Chico State dropped from No. 2 to No. 3. Western State, who edged Augie out of second place at the regional meet, improved five spots to move from No. 12 to No. 7.  

The Augie men finished in fifth place at the regional meet, allowing them to improve from No. 21 to No. 17.  Adams State and Western State remained atop the men's Division II Cross Country Coaches Poll at No. 1 and No. 2 respectively while Grand Valley State improved to No. 3 and Chico State dropped to No. 4.

Both teams will compete again on Nov. 21 in Evansville, Ind. at the NCAA National Championships.
