The Augustana men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Wayne, Neb. this Saturday to compete in the Central Regional Championships.
The top five women's teams will earn the chance to compete in the Cross Country National Championships in Evansville, Ind. on Nov. 21. The top six men's teams will qualify.
Both teams are coming off of big wins at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Championships. The women's team won its third consecutive title (2008 NSIC Champs, 2007 NCC Champs) while the men's team won its first NSIC Cross Country title.
Currently the women's team remains ranked second in the Central Region and No. 7 nationally while the men's team retained its No. 5 regional ranking this week and are 21st in the national poll.
