Augustana Women Jump to No. 7, Men at No. 21 in Cross Country National Poll

The Augustana women's cross country team improved to No. 7 while the men reappeared at No. 21 in the seventh regular season USTFCCCA Division II Men's and Women's Cross Country National Rankings, the USTFCCCA announced today.

The Augie women jumped from No. 10 to No. 7 after winning the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Cross Country Championships last weekend in Bemidji, Minn. Grand Valley State overtook Chico State as the No. 1 team with Missouri Southern State and Adams State staying at No. 3 and No. 4, respectively.

The Augie men also took home an NSIC Championship, allowing them to reenter the poll at No. 21 after being unranked for two straight weeks. Adams State remained atop the men's Division II Cross Country Coaches Poll for the seventh straight poll, and the rest of the top five also remained the same.

Both teams will compete again on Nov. 7 in Wayne, Neb. for the Central Regional Championships.
