Jacob Pohlmann and Blake Ridgway finished 14th and 15th in the heptathlon after the second day of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Multi-Event Championships Monday in Aberdeen, S.D.
Pohlmann, who was eighth after the first day of competition, finished with 3,920 points, while Ridgway, who was third in the standings after four evetns, finished with 3,840 points. Ridgway's efforts to score team points in the NSIC Championships took a blow when he no-heighted in the pole vault.
Bemidji State's Zac Preble, the defending NSIC champion, won the event with a total of 5,245 points, which broke his own NSIC record from a year ago.
The NSIC Championships are scheduled for February 27-27 in Mankato, Minn..
