RESULTS
The Augustana women's indoor track and field team recorded 11 top-ten finishes at Saturday's Minnesota Parents Day Invite in Minneapolis, Minn.
In the field events,
Bobbi Jo Buyck won the long jump with a best attempt of 17 feet, 11.75 inches.
Noel Bentele took seventh in the shot put, recording a best attempt of 40 feet, 4 inches.
Rachel Christensen took fourth in the weight throw with a toss of 51 feet, 4.25 inches, and
Karissa Pepin finished ninth in both the high jump and the triple jump with marks of 4 feet, 11 inches, and 33 feet, 3.25 inches, respectively.
In the women's 3000 meters, three Augie runners finished consecutively in sixth, seventh and eighth places.
Miriam Hovda finished in 10:31.87, Leah Hansen in 10:36.15 and
Jillian Tholen in 10:42.27.
Courtney Rasmussen finished eighth in the women's 5000 meters in 19:28.52.
Claire Severson finished third in the women's 60 meter hurdles in 9.39 seconds, while
Meagan Grandgenett took eighth in 9.92.
The Vikings next compete at the NSIC Championships in Mankato, Minn., held Feb. 26-27.
