Diego Oquendo earned a first and second place finish at the Spartan Invitational on Saturday.

Diego Oquendo Sets Provisional Qualifier at Spartan Invitational

Augustana trackster Diego Oquendo had an impressive day at the Spartan Invitational hosted by Michigan State University in East Lansing, Mich. on Saturday.

Oquendo set a NCAA Div. II provisional qualifying mark in the 110 hurdles, finishing the race in 14.62, narrowly beating the provisional mark of 14.65. He finished second overall in the race.

In addition, the junior from Staten Island, N.Y., won the 100 meter dash. His time of 10.82 beat out the second place finisher by .03 seconds.
