Tom Karbo Named NSIC Track Athlete of the Week
Sophomore Tom Karbo took first place in his first race of the 2010 outdoor season on Thursday.

Tom Karbo Named NSIC Track Athlete of the Week

Augustana's Tom Karbo was named Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Track Athlete of the Week, the conference office announced today.

The sophomore won his first race of the outdoor season, taking the men's 3000 meter run at the Vance Butler Invitational on Thursday.

Karbo ran the event in 8:27.90 and was nearly 10 seconds faster than the next finisher, James Krasja of Minnesota State (8:36.54). 

The Vikings will be in action again this weekend as they compete at the Nebraska Invitational in Lincoln, Neb. on Saturday.
