Augustana University Athletics

Two members of the Augustana track and field team competed Friday at the Nebraska Invitational in Lincoln, Neb.

Noel Bentele and Kevin Knapp competed in the women and men's hammer throw, respectively. Bentele placed eighth with a best throw of 154 feet, 8 inches. Samantha Musil of Nebraska won the event with a throw of 182 feet, 5 inches.

Knapp placed ninth, posting a best of 141 feet. Nebraska's Matt Giesselmann won the men's event with a throw of 170 feet, 8 inches.

The remaining events of the invitational will take place on Saturday. Many of the members of the Augie track and field squad will compete in Saturday's events.
