The Augustana track team had another impressive day at the Drake Relays on Friday, with two relay teams competing. The women's distance medley relay team set a new Augustana record.
The women's distance medley relay team of
Linn Nilsson,
Bobbi Jo Buyck,
Cecilie Udstuen, and
Caitlin Polgreen finished third on Friday, Their time of 11:54.62, was nearly three seconds faster than the previous school record of 11:57.16 set in 2005.
Augie also entered a 4x800 men's relay team, run by
Austin Vande Berg,
Brian Werner,
Travis Beniak, and
Daniel Black. The team finished 11th in a time of 7:51.32.
Competition at the Drake Relays wraps up tomorrow with the Augustana men's distance relay team and the women's 4x800 team running.
