Members of the Augustana track and field teams competed at the Dakota State University Invitational on Friday in Madison, S.D. Four Vikings won his or her event.

Katie Hjerpe won the women's 1500 meter, and her time of 5:09.46 was nearly four seconds faster than the second place finisher. Laura Johnson was sixth in the event with a time of 5:17.56.
 
Megan Erspamer finished fourth in the 400 meter hurdles with a time of 1:10.72 while #Rachel Biederman finished seventh in 1:15.50. Claire Severson was fourth in the 100 meter hurdles, finishing the race in 15.72.
 
In the women's 100 meter, Emily Halvorson was fourth with a time of 12.89. Chanesse Schaffer was 10th in a time of 13.20.
 
In the field events, Melissa Jackson won the javelin with a throw of 32.02.
 
Karissa Pepin finished second in the high jump, clearing 5-03.00. Carissa Hotovy took fifth in the long jump with a best mark of 4.41 meters.
 
#Noel Bentele was second in the shot put, tossing 12.47 meters while teammate Kristin Nielsen had a mark of 11.38 meters. Bentele was also second in the hammer throw, with a best mark of 46.13 meters.
 
Rachel Christainsen took second in the discus throw, tossing 39.33 meters.
 
On the men's side, Paul Mallory won the 110 hurdles with a time of 14.51.
 
Jordan Slusser was second in the 1500 meter run, finishing in 4:17.56.
 
Dylan Beuhler was the top finisher in the men's field events, winning the javelin with a throw of 50.36. Kevin Knapp took fifth in the hammer throw with a launch of 42.97 meters.
