Final Results
The Augustana track and field teams had another impressive day at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays on Saturday. Two Vikings were individual champions while several others finished in the top 10.
Bobbi Jo Buyck won the women's long jump with a best leap of 17-09.75. Also winning an event was
Tom Karbo, who finished the 1500 meter run in 3:56.16.
Other top finishers for the women included
Megan Erspamer, who finished sixth in the 400 meter hurdles in a time of 1:07.20. Teammate
Meagan Grandgenett was 10
th in 1:09.77.
Claire Severson finished 10
th in the 100 meter hurdles in a time of 16.05.
The Vikings were third and fourth in the 1500 meter run with
Linn Nilsson finishing in 4:38.76 while
Caitlin Polgreen was close behind in 4:41.47.
Carissa Hotovy joined Buyck in the top 10 of the long jump. Her jump of 14-10.75 was ninth best today.
Rachel Christiansen took seventh in the discus with a throw of 47.90 meters.
On the men's side,
Aaron Jung was second in the shot put with a launch of 15.05 meters and
Cory Sugden took fourth in the high jump. His best attempt today was 6-06.00.
Paul Mallory finished seventh in the 110 hurdles with a time of 15.09 while
Zach Morris finished eighth in the 400 meter hurdles in 59.14.
The Vikings will compete next weekend in the NSIC Outdoor Championships in Moorhead, Minn.
