USTFCCCA ALL-ACADEMIC TEAMS
NEW ORLEANS - The U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has announced that the Augustana women's track and field team is one of 67 programs from across the country to be honored as a 2009 Division II All-Academic team. As a team, the Vikings maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.23, well above the 3.0 mark set by the USTFCCCA.
Incarnate Word (Texas) posted the nation's highest cumulative GPA through the winter 2010 term with a 3.64.
Last week, the Augustana women's track and field team had five individuals named to the All-Academic team.
Noel Bentele,
Bobbi Jo Buyck,
Linn Nilsson,
Annie Pfeifle and
Caitlin Polgreen all picked up individual honors.
