Ryan Evans (26:28) finished in 23rd place and Paul Yak (26:44) rounded off the men's lineup in 37th place.

"The men executed the race plan very well," said head coach Tracy Hellman.  "I am very pleased with the results considering this was our first race and held out a few key guys."

Augustana's women's team had six other runners besides Blakeslee at the invite.  Annie Pfeifle (44th) ran with a time of 24:02.2, Courtney Rasmussen (53rd) posted a time of 24:10.3 and Molly Kokesh (55th) finished in 24:10.5.

"The women ran well without our full group," said Hellman.  "This is a strong starting point, and I expect us to get better each week."

Augustana cross country will compete next at the Tim Young Open in Vermillion, S.D. on Oct. 1.
