BURNSVILLE, Minn. - The Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced Tuesday that Augustana's Matt Braithwaite has been named the men's cross country Athlete of the Week after his performance in last Saturday's Roy Griak Invitational.

Braithwaite's 12th-place finish the Griak led Augustana to the team title in the Division II race. Braithwaite, a senior from Sioux Falls, navigated the 8K course in 25:51.9 and was the top finisher among NSIC runners. His 12th-place finish was out of 334 athletes.

The Vikings return to action on Saturday at the Tim Young Open in Vermillion, S.D.
