Jacob Simmons of Sturgis topped a pair of Rapid City Stevens runners to pick up the boys win, while Macy Heinz of Ipswich topped a trio of Stevens runners in the girls run at Saturday’s Huron Invitational at Broadland Creek Golf Course.
Simmons finished in a time of 16 minutes, 11.98 seconds to better Connor Haaland (16:16.52) and Mark Poston (16:37.45) of Stevens in the boys race. The Raiders placed four in the top 10 to easily win the team title over Sioux Falls Washington and Pierre. The Raiders had 26 points to the Warriors' 96.
On the girls' side, Stevens earned the sweep of the team titles by placing five runners in the top 13, including runner-up Emily Person, third-place Jamie Schweiss and fourth-place Kendra Dykstra. Stevens scored 29 points to second-place Washington's 90. Pierre finished third.
The teams will be in action Friday at the Rapid City Invitational at the Elks Golf Course.

GIRLS SOCCER
R.C. STEVENS 3, BELLE FOURCHE 1: Emily Haar collected a hat trick and led Rapid City Stevens to a 3-1 victory over Belle Fourche on Saturday night at Sioux Park.
Haar scored on a through ball from Morgan Wood in the 15th minute, on an assist from Hannah Spielmann in the 56th minute and followed with a goal in the 66th minute on another nice find from Alexis Colhoff.
The Broncs tied the game at 1-all in the 45th minute on a penalty kick by Jessica Lyon.
"We have been working a lot on our through balls and diagonal runs and that's helped to produce goals for us," Haar said.
The Raiders out-shot the Broncs 28-8. Broncs keeper Hannah Rehmeier had an impressive 15 saves.
"We have learned from our two losses. We are improving and heading in the right direction," Stevens head coach Luis Usera said.
Stevens will play Central on Tuesday.
BOYS SOCCER
R.C. STEVENS 11, BELLE FOURCHE 1: Brennan Lytle had three goals and two assists and teammate Blake Bendt also had a hat trick to lead Stevens to an easy win over Belle Fourche.
Rick Schleusener, Noah Storm, Derek Beaumont, Bennett Fierro and Ashton Culey also scored for the No. 4-ranked Raiders, who improved to 7-1-1.
The Raiders had 25 shots on goal compared to one for Belle Fourche. That one shot was a goal from Lucas Trimble.
"We're getting good at connecting our passes and with creating opportunities for others to get shots and goals. We're very unselfish," Lytle said.
Stevens will play Rapid City Central on Tuesday.

STEVENS SWEEPS THREE IN ABERDEEN: Rapid City Stevens dropped Pierre, Milbank and Huron at the Elliott Extravaganza in Aberdeen.

LATE FRIDAY
R.C. CHRISTIAN 45, KADOKA AREA 0: Paul McLaughlin threw three touchdown passes and ran for one more to lead the Comets to the win over the Kougars on Friday.
Jadd Evans had interception returns for touchdowns of 37 and 60 yards and also caught a score from McLaughlin. McLaughlin also picked off two passes for the Comets (3-0).
Jonathan Eggebraaten had a 15-yard touchdown catch and led Christian with 16 tackles. The Comets will play Faith this week.
