The SDSU Classic, which will be held on February 13-14 on the new 300 Meter track inside the Sanford-Jackrabbit Athletic Complex, has included a High School Mile into the meet program.
The SDSU Classic, which will include athletes from 39 colleges and universities from across the Midwest and Canada will be one of the premier collegiate meets in the midwest.
"The 300 meter oval is very attractive to athletes pursing national qualifying marks, and we anticipate that many athletes will punch their tickets during this two-day meet," said South Dakota State's Head Coach, Rod DeHaven.
In addition to the outstanding college competition, DeHaven decided to add a High School race to the meet: the Mile.
"The high school mile was added to the meet program as opportunity for athletes to gauge their fitness and check out a top flight collegiate meet."
