What kind of shape are you in heading into this cross country season?
I logged 730 miles in before the start of school (June 1-August 19) and a total of 900 in before my first meet (June 1- Sept 3). I am running 85 miles in a week now.

I ran a 1:56.9 medley split(last meet of the year) and a 1:57.3 open 800 (region record) at my region meet in Mitchell.
What are your goals for this season on an individual level?
I would like to run under 15:30, win state B cross country, and make nike cross country nationals.
Where do you see your team placing this season?
Right now we only have two healthy runners, both of which should make it to state.
What did your summer training look like?
I started running at 50 miles a week. I had a little injury set back in June, but after a weekish off I was back running 50-60 miles a week. In July I was running 70-80 miles a week and lifting weights three times a week. During August I ran 80-85 miles a week and continued to lift. I was also working during the summer so I saw a lot of early mornings putting miles in with my older brother Drew Kraft who runs for SDSU. I started doing harder workouts along with the increase of mileage since July.
Who do you see as the top individuals in the state (and class, AA, A or B)?
Class AA: Addison DeHaven, Nathan Schroeder Class A: Eric Yager, Logan Burns Class B: Jase Kraft, Daniel Burkhalter, Austin Huether
What are your favorite workouts?
I love to go fast, so I like the quicker intervals, tempos are probably one of my weakest workouts. I like 400-800's repetitions
What is your favorite pre-race: Meal? Music? Routine?
Meal: Goulash (pasta and meat and sauce) Music: I love listening to LeCrae
Routine: I love talking to people pre-race, it keeps my nerves down and builds relationships.
